How do you get rid of rats?

Tryed good old fashioned rat traps, after a while they got smart and steal th food without getting caught. I know of a goo rat poison, but I dont want them to go and die somewhere else and a month later theres a smell i cant get rid of. Plus theres kids around. Hate cats, what else is there?How do you get rid of rats?
mix a little powered milk with dry cement. when they eat it the cement sets up in there stomach. they die and there isnt a smell.How do you get rid of rats?
You need to plug up all the entrances that they use to get in to your house. Use caulk, molding, gaskets, foam, wire mesh, hardware cloth, replace shingles, steel wool in holes, rat poison in holes before the steel wool, you get the idea. It is a war that I hope you win.

GET THOSE BIG OLE STICKY ICE TRAY THINGS WITH POISON STUFF ON THEM AND WHEN THE LITTLE BAS***DS TRY AND EAT THE FAKE FOOD THEY GET STUCK AND DIE AND THEN YOU CAN JUST TOSS OUT THE ENTIRE THING...MESS FREE!..GOOD LUCK!
