How do i get the rats out of our house without killing them?

I am 9 and we have a baby rat in our house but just one we know where he comes in and out but we want to set him free without killing it! does setting a glue trap then putting olive oil on it let the rat loose? (outside) or do you guys have another idea please tell me all ideas!How do i get the rats out of our house without killing them?
Get a couple humane rat traps. Look at him closely. When you pick him up (use gloves) does he seem friendly or hostile? He might be a pet rat's offspring, or just a wild rat.


Maybe keep him as a pet (Go to the vet first though) or just set him free far from your house in a woody area.How do i get the rats out of our house without killing them?
Please do not purchase glue traps!! In short periods of time, rodents break their limbs or chew them off in order to get free. You can buy live rat traps. Fill it with cheerios. Trust me, I own five rats. They love cheerios. Or whipped cream. The trap locks when he enters, and he can be released later. But please keep an eye on the trap. The rat can die if left in the trap for too long.
Check for live traps, they will cost more but worth it if you want to spare a life. Make sure when you release it that you release it far from your home, they pee so they can follow their own trail and it might find it's way back.
There are only 2 ways.





1 Catch him just as he runs out, then throw him in your neighbor's lawn,





2 Burn you house down. The scent of fire makes rats run away.
