You could buy a water bottle like this one. It might even be the kind you are talking about. Im not sure how it works with an aquarium cover though. Maybe if you have a 20 gallon aquarium, than she wouldn't be able to get out. I cant see a problem with her learning to use it.

You could also try using a bowl. Rats are very capable of drinking out of bowls, contrary to what some people will say. I would suggest a heavy bottomed bowl, like the kind of ceramic bowl you would buy for a small breed dog. You would need to clean it out probably daily, as rats like to throw their bedding into it, especially with all the bedding options most people give their pregnant females for their nest. Hope I helped. My pregnant rats cage has no bars just solid walls, can i hang a bottle from the roof?
If your rat can reach, and if she has the energy to- sinse she's pregnant. I highly suggest a side wire cage because when her rat babies will get older i doubt they can reach the roof. I think it will due until you get another cage. But can't you keep the water in a bowl too?

Its a great water bottle all you need to do is stick the sticky side to the wall of the cage and then there is the latch so that you can remove it and refill it. Its a bit small for a rat but I hope it helps. Good luck! :)
