How can you tell the difference between male and female rats?

If a male rat were a human its nuts would be the size of basketballs. Really, if you cant tell then it must be a female.How can you tell the difference between male and female rats?
I'm assuming your talking young rats ? If your looking at them from the back..(holding the tail up) the distance between the anus %26amp; vagina will be smaller on a female . Example ( : ) Where as a male will have a greater distance between his anus %26amp; penis. ( ; ) I hope this helps.How can you tell the difference between male and female rats?
well, the same with mice, either you can see his thingy (you know what ';thingy'; i mean) or, in a female, the two holes are close, and in a male, the holes are seperate, and the smell more.

Well... male rats have ENORMOUS testicles. You can't really mistake them for females. My 2 month old already has balls the size of his head. Sorry, but I don't know how else to put it.
If you cant tell the difference then you probably shouldn't be raising rats
a male rat is very noticeable at the base of the tail u should be able to see its testicles
